KAPRAIN strengthens its position in the Telecommunications market
Nej.cz, part of KAPRAIN investment group, has acquired the company itself s.r.o., a significant provider of fixed internet connectivity, television content, and datacenter operator. Thanks to this transaction, Nej.cz has strengthened its position as the third-largest provider of high-speed internet access and television content in the Czech Republic while expanding into other telecommunication fields.
KAPRAIN CIO Marcel Dostal said of the transaction: “By acquiring itself, we are once again expanding in the telecommunications market and thereby confirm our position as the third-largest provider of high-speed internet access and television content in the country”. “We are also expanding our portfolio of services thanks to the purchase of two datacenters in Brno and Ivančice,” Dostal added.
The company was sold by Jan Dašovský, who has established itself s.r.o. as one of the most respected players in the market over the last 30 years. itself constructed its own optical backbone network in the Czech Republic and operates two successful datacenters with TÜV SÜD certification in Brno and Ivančice. It also provides internet access and television services to almost 30,000 households in South Moravia.
This year, KAPRAIN also won four blocks in the 3,500 MHz auction held by the Czech Telecommunications Office. This combination of an optical network and wireless band licenses with gigabyte capacity will allow KAPRAIN to further penetrate the market. Thanks to the complex offer of fixed and mobile services, the group will be able to achieve similar conditions to the national providers.
